I like how the vanity area is so big but confess that because the light is dim, I put my makeup on in front of the window in the morning using the air/heat unit as my table! There is plenty of room and more drawer space than the DLH. Once, we even brought a queen aerobed and put it in the big space by the vanity for dd and it fit! As for location, we always ask for a room on the 3rd(top) floor near the front at Harbor and facing toward HoJos. When you are close to the front, you can actually see the fireworks at night and even have a tiny bit of a view of all the people walking past. We have never stayed on the ground floor, I would think it too noisy with the cars pulling in and out and their headlights shining in the windows. DH absolutely hates hearing people walk above us at night so none of us mind the few steps to the 3rd floor. I do agree that it is dark but so many hotels seem dark to us. Many hotels are using the money saving lightbulbs that just don't seem bright enough. I think the DLH rooms are dark at night, like they use 20 watt bulbs in the rooms. I was complaining that it was too dark in the 4 star hotel and DH joked that the next trip, I'll probably be bringing along my own lamp too-lol.

And I'm sure the day will come when we just go all out and spend some serious coin on the Grand Californian - but that won't be for a few more years when the kids can appreciate it a little more. Instead we're spending that money on a mom and dad only trip to Vegas

Really looking forward to the location, as we always walked past it coming to and from the BW Anaheim Inn. Does anyone know if the BWPPI ever says yes to a complimentary room upgrade? Or have room upgrades gone the way of inflight meals?
