They also repeatedly got on the loud speaker to have the group of about a hundred Argentinian teenaged girls stop chanting (his words were cheering, chanting, singing or clapping), and did it in both English and Spanish. To be fair, they never stopped for long and he had to keep repeating himself, but he tried.

That's for sure! There seems to an extra feeling of entitlement there.

However in their defense I have to say that on the Martin Luther King weekend we encountered some rude American teenager groups as well. Although they weren't chanting, but very good in line skipping.

Just avoid any anniversary, attraction opening or the Countdown Parties! All bets are off then and it becomes an absolute frenzy of pushing and shoving.

The 30th this past April was no different. Everyone peaceful and calm on their plastic sheets at the turnstiles until the gates open and then it is every man for himself. Carnage.

It is always fun to watch them preparing for the anniversary presentation too. They lay down their sheets in front of the castle but it then some sense of entitlement takes over and they try to win the territory war in a passive aggressive way. Very entertaining. This year the CMs cut off entrance to the front area very quickly but it didn't stop guests lying to get into that area ("my friend is sat there already!").

The Japanese fans can be just as sneaky and rude as any others when it matters to them. Thankfully that isn't very often!

In that the last time I was in Japan was in 1970, it might have changed, but, I thought I was going to get killed while in line for tickets for the train in Osaka. Hundreds of people were making a real attempt to be first in line at the window. I was young, in the military and in good condition, but, people that must have been in their eighties were pushing me aside along with the rest of the population. Even when I was next and approaching the window, no more then a body length away to begin with, this older lady literally pushed me sideways and jumped in front of me. It was at that point that I was glad that my parents taught me not to hit women.

Having experienced both the Japanese public and the Brazilian Tour Groups, I would have to say that by comparison the BTG's were like napping babies in a stroller. Must be they act differently in Theme Parks.

Dr. hans, as someone who is intimately familiar with Brazilians and Brazilian culture, they were getting a laugh at your expense. They LOVE to stereotype and make fun of Americans.
Particularly about things like being overweight or wearing pulled up white socks or various other things they find amusing. Never seen you before in my life, but there was something about you that day that they wanted to be able to e-mail to their friends.

I love Brazilians, but ive never met a people who love to make fun of other people as much as they do.

Darn. And I thought it was because they mistook me for Will Smith.

I'm sure the Witches would agree Toony.

"Lol, Hans what were you wearing that day?"

Come to think of it was hot and muggy, so I may have been wearing my daisy dukes and cropped tank.

Funny, I play that game every time I'm in Union Square in downtown San Francisco. Except I'm trying to spot Europeans.
