I enjoyed the show as we wanted to sit and relax for a while, and they (and the characters) kept my family and their kids entertained. I can sort of take or leave characters generally, but the Woody and Jessie who were there spent about half an hour with my six month old nephew and my mother-in-law, playing peek-a-boo. It was just about the cutest thing I have ever seen; my six month old nephew was absolutely delighted. The best photos of the whole vacation are of his lit up face playing with them. They even came over and got my attention (I was eating and taking photos around our table and they were a bit away from the table with my nephew and mother in law). They wanted to be sure I got photos of my nephew being totally adorable. It was really a fantastic character interaction for us. I know they had the time to do it because the restaurant was empty, but it was a great experience for our family. I thought they were just getting rid of the characters. Is the entertainment going too? Or just being scaled back a bit? I would still go eat there without the entertainment or characters at a lower price, we really enjoyed our meal.

Now that the price is less, it's a better deal - however they no longer include the Dessert or the Beverage in the price (so when you add those back in - you are back up to the original price). Add to that the fact that they have removed the entertainment - and I am not sure how good of a deal it is anymore (or ever was).

The menu remains the same, although the corn is not offered at lunch. They have also added a polish sausage to the ribs and chicken entrees. The meal is still all-you-care-to-eat. I will add here that the vegetarian selection-- the vegetable and tofu skewer-- is delicious. I have had it a couple of times. The Toy Story characters no longer entertain, but the live/strolling musicians remain. You will usually find Miss Chris, your hostess, a strolling guitar player, and a piano player. They don't all play at once, and each of the performers I have seen is quite good. Because the characters have moved on, there is also no longer the photo opportunity with the cast members bringing photos to the table. For those who are weak at resisting impulse buys, this is probably a good thing.

I like the sausage addition for dinner, as well, although it sounds like just plain ol' polska kielbasa type sausage, rather than something superb. (Someone correct please, if this is not true. Sausages are, after all, one of the world's perfect foods.)
Originally Posted By 999HAUNTS <They don't all play at once, and each of the performers I have seen is quite good.> Actually, they do all play at once, and one of the performers should be elimated. It was also a bit overwhelming trying to talk over their performance when your family doesn't get together too often and there is a lot of catching up to do. Probably not a good idea to book this type of dining experience when your goal is to play catch-up with the family. This was a bad decision on my part. Oops!. Our reservations last night were at 5:15, and we were seated in a nice table in the shade. Our server took our drink orders and brought them out rather quickly. At this point, there were probably no more than 25 people in the whole place. A few minutes later, we were served all of the food that DLandDug mentioned, except for the tofu stuff. The corn was by far the best corn I have had in a while. The rest of the food was tasty as well, but we found that extra barBQ sauce was needed for the chicken. The ribs, however, were moist and tasty. About 4 minutes into our meal, the guitar guy comes out and addresses the diners with a howdy-do and starts singing and playing the guitar. He was pretty good, getting the kids involved and finding out where everyone was from. Then, Miss Chris came out. That was when the whole experience took a nosedive. She comes out with a very high pitched "How yer all doin yer all" and my ears about melted. The accent was so fakely put on that everything was about four octaves to high that came out of her mouth, and eating was almost impossible. I dropped one of my ribs once because she scared the bejesus out of me when she started singing!! Oh and this girl had the most irritating, screechy, fake accented singing voice I have ever heard. It was hard to eat, it was hard to have a conversation with my family, and it was just plain annoying. Then the piano player came out to accompany the guitar player and Ms Screechy, and if she wasn't there it would have been a very pleasant dinner show. Also as DlandDug said, the drinks are no longer included in the meal price, and were $2.99 each. They are served in small glass canning jars, but are refillable as many times as you wish, and they ARE NOT shy about filling your glasses. There was never an empty glass at our table. Our server Heaven was one of the best servers we've ever had. She had a great personality and was very quick to bring whatever we needed. She also was very understanding when our bill was paid with cash and two credit cards. Premium Annual pass discount did apply, so with 4 adult dinners, 4 drinks and one birthday cupcake for my mom, the bill came out to $108.00. So, to sum this whole experience up, we would probably eat here again if Miss Chris was not performing, or if they got another gal who wasn't so over-the-top phoney and irritating. The food is tasty, and after all, that's what we were there for mostly.
