I didn't like her red tux either but thought she looked quite nice in the white and blue. How patriotic of her. ;-)

Being "into it" notwithstanding, I'd think you'd have to be impressed that they can actually do that with their bodies and pull off the images.

    But, it's a free country. ;-)

I almost think that by cutting the fat in order to keep the show under 4 hours, they've eliminated any chance of anything spontaneous happening.

I remember back when Carson (or even Billy Crystal) used to host, the ad-lib comments were almost non-stop.

It all seems a little canned now.

I liked the photo-op with Ellen & Clint though.

The stuff she did was so different - offbeat. Loved the bits with Scorsese and Eastwood... and that vacuum... *LOL* Really took me offguard. Oh... And having Spielberg take the photo and then complaining about it! *LMAO* Like he, of ALL people, couldn't frame it properly! Too funny!

I also liked the behind the screen people (can't think of their name). I have never seen them and thought they were pretty interesting :)

The only thing I didn't care for too much was the very beginning. I kept waiting for it to get better or that it would turn out to be a clever commercial. Maybe it just went on too long to be cute.

I'd give this years production a thumbs up :)

I couldn't disagree more! That was the low-light of the evening for me. Then again, Will Farrell=not funny to me.

I guess it's like people who swear by vanilla or chocolate ice cream, but I just don't see how he makes a living at comedy.

I love Letterman and I love Chris Rock, but Oscar hosts they ain't. Whoopi Goldberg is even more out of place.

And I would rather chew glass than sit through another year of Billy Crystal.

I would like to see Craig Ferguson hold the spot as host of the Oscars. He's genuine, funny and can probably do impressions of most of the actors there. LOL.
