And unfortunately it will take decades for DCA to overcome the reputation of "Park built on the cheap". If it ever does... Disney got what they paid for, and the public figured that out real quick. And Disney has been paying, and will continue to pay even bigger bucks to get that place where it should have been on opening day.

The art direction morphing the physical world with the 2D drawings was an interesting take, and I liked it, but I just felt that each of the scenes was too sparse. I love the Dr. Seuss characters, but this ride left me cold.>>> I disagree. The Cat in the Hat (at least when it first opened) is an extreamly well done dark ride. First of all, it has more animatronics then Monsters (which actually only has one, Roz....), much more special effects, a very cohesive and thought out path, and great lighting. It's MUCH better then say, Roger Rabbit... and I think overall more satisfying then Monsters. Buzz beats it for the interactive feature, but as far a design and overall theming, I'd say it's the best "D" type dark ride built in a very long time. Monster's was a terrific improvement over "Superstar Limo", but it's really no Cat in the Hat.

You can be both annoying and inattentive, all at the same time.
