Everyone remember when my mom heard a noise in her garage, grabbed her loaded gun and threw the door open---only to find a poor kitty trapped in her garage?! I would have called the police seeing as how I don't own a gun nor have any desire to blow someone's head off.

My father was "saved" by his weapon while serving his country during World War Two. I have never brandished a firearm in my life. Well trained, proficient gun owners would pull their weapon only as a last resort. People tend to base their opinions of guns on the sporadic headlines of fried eggs going off the deep end, or some fool's tragic neglect. They fail to give a thought to the millions, if not billions of lawful gun owners who never make the news because they are responsible citizens.
