When it finally happens, I expect his mind to flip not unlike Walt laughing hysterically in the crawl space last night. Or, explode into a huge rage, or both. Or, perhaps, still being unable to get anyone in the DEA to actually believe him. Or his rogue investigation crossing the line and making what he finds no good in court... or.......... or...or.......

And I thought it was a tad silly when Gus walked out to fix his tie looking like Two-Face. And I did not expect Walt to cross that line and actually be the one that poisoned Brock. Which I think sets up next season for Jesse to finally take him down, which maybe what Walt wanted all this time.

I sat there thinking "how did he walk away from that?" and then they panned over to the other side of his face, and it just seemed like a (rare) cheap moment. I knew they would have to do a twist ending, but I didn't see the Lily coming (or at least I didn't until they started zooming in on Walt's backyard.) I may have to re-watch on demand the episode with Walt convincing Jesse that Fring poisoned Brock to make him think it was Walt and thus hate Walt (when actually it was exactly reversed) - just to see the acting involved and to see it in the context of the new knowledge. I'm not sure where they go next season. Fring's dead, Tio is dead... sure, there can always be a new drug kingpin, but why wouldn't Walt and Jesse get out of the business now? Walt's no longer terminal, and they even own a carwash they could make a living at (or sell). Why remain in the drug business? Mike is still alive, right? He's a possible loose end. And, of course, Jesse possibly figuring out what Walt did, and Hank figuring out Walt's involvement... but that seems unlikely if Walt doesn't remain in the drug business, which wouldn't ring true to me now. If he stays in it, they're going to have to convince me about the "why." Is he just so badass now that he thinks "this is what I do?"

Remember how he bristled (and blew it) when Hank was giving all the credit to Gail as being Heisenberg. Walt has an ego and has spent his life being beaten down and not living up to his potential, so there's that. Also, remember that much of the fortune he's made is now gone. Spent on the car wash and given to pay off Ted's tax bill and much more going toward's Hank's care. So, he does still need to provide for his family, and he now knows how to get vast sums quickly. Last night revealed how far he has turned since the beginning of the series, and the last season either has to be somehow him getting his redemption or going all in. Mike is probably going to return, but if he'll be friend or foe is on open question -- he's kind of a gun for hire now, and probably will at some level respect what Walt pulled off, and at another, be looking for work, so who knows. Also, for 4 seasons we've been nervously watching Hank get closer and closer to the truth, unable to connect all the dots. But what a mind-blowing scene THAT will be, the moment when Hank actually realizes his very own bumbling brother in law is the mastermind he's been chasing all this time. That HAS to happen at some point -- it's been simmering beneath the surface since episode 1. Whatever happens next season will be icing on the cake. I had my mouth hanging open last night after the scene in Casa Tranquila (what a great name, LOL!) I thought it was awesome.

I do need to watch the final two episodes again to piece things together.
