While there were no gun battles or anything last night, I thought Skyler's line about waiting for the cancer to come back was brutal. Any hope for the two of them somehow riding off into the sunset together happily ever after is off the table now. Hank has gone from kind of a cartoony character to the one to watch over the run of this series. And he'll have to figure prominently into any grand finale.

Originally Posted By Kar2oonMan >>I was wondering if Todd was an undercover cop, well that put this to rest.<< I hadn't even thought about that, but yep, he's no cop now, that's for sure. I though Walt bugging Hank's office was pretty strange, his fingerprints are all over it, as well as the photo. At some point the bug will be found, even if by the IT guy. And in order to be alone to install the bug, he had to know that Hank would leave him alone in his office to "collect himself." Seemed a stretch to me. Usually the writers seem to be more clever than that, so it was a bit of a letdown to have something that contrived. All that said, the whole train heist was incredibly exciting and the ending was shocking and leave us with a classic "Well, NOW what are they going to do??" Breaking Bad cliffhanger.

Walt knows Hank, and knows he doesn't handle emotional displays very well, especially from other men. The fingerprints part bugged me more. Why not just show Walt putting on a glove real quick?

It's a lot to cram into one episode (a year!), so although I thought when the season began it would be the former, I'm now leaning towards the latter. And who's chasing Walter a year from now? Is it the Phoenix guys? Hank? Both? Someone as yet unintroduced? Random thought: how devastating would it be if Walt Jr./Flynn gets more and more depressed and rebellious and Walt sees him at some point strung out on the Heisenberg blue?

Originally Posted By Kar2oonMan >>Random thought: how devastating would it be if Walt Jr./Flynn gets more and more depressed and rebellious and Walt sees him at some point strung out on the Heisenberg blue?<< Wow, I hadn't thought about that possibility. Walt has been very separated from the actual meth users for the most part (aside from Jesse). That might be the perfect comeuppance to Walt. There was an episode I think back at season 1 where Jesse was held hostage by a couple of meth users. It was a truly freaky episode. So your scenario would instantly force him to see exactly what his "pure" product is doing to people in a truly shocking way.
