So agree. I was so moved by his words. I feel like he spoke the opinions most of us having been expressing but did it in a much more eloquent and concise way.

Yep, I can't wait to see how they'll try to spin this.

George Bush must feel like crawling under a rock right now.

As for the cabint position, Powell has made clear he doesn't want that. And, having made that clear, I think Obama would respect that.

He also made clear that he'd give advice to either Obama or McCain and I hope whoever wins takes him up on that. I can't imagine they wouldn't.

But, I agree, he said he doesnt want a post, but I imagine an official or unofficial advisor would never be out of the question.

But man, it WOULD be funny (and weird) to go from being Bush's sec. of state to Obama's lol.

I dont get how people can listen to what the man said and get ANY of that?? Did they not clearly hear what he had to say why he cant believe in McCain's campaign like the majority of people are saying now?

And I think its funny, they ignore Powells issue of how his own party are undermining Muslims as a whole in that country but have no problem citing Obama's race as his main factor for going with Obama.

Of course they are. They are running out of straws to pull. Never mind all the white conservatives that are endorsing Obama too.

That's exactly what they said about McCain in 2000. Palin is the party now.

McCain will be on Chris Wallace's show tonight but the transcript is already out:http://tinyurl.com/5br226

Apparently, endorsements don't matter.

And isn't it amazing that the man can lay out 7 straight uninterrupted minutes of reason after well-thought-out reason why he's decided to endorse Obama, and all Limbaugh and those internet yahoos can figure is he did it because he's black?

It is quite possible that those 'reasons' are not his true feelings but merely his public alter ego rationalizing his Obama endorsement.
Since publically voting for one based on race is social and political suicide I am not convinced of his true feelings.

And it is possible that Powell backs Obama because of Obama's race and his position on issues/leadership.

Or Powell only cares about Obama's message and stances and not race......any of those scenarios could be true.

So maybe Limbaugh is right, maybe he is wrong on this one....I don't think we'll ever know.
