There's a difference between CNN saying, "X said Y", and CNN saying, "Z is reporting X said Y". In the story you linked to, CNN was reporting what British news outlets were reporting, they were not reporting it themselves. You chose to see my "not quite" comments as being partisan; it wasn't. I don't really care which side is doing the speculation and the leaking; I don't care for any of it. Inevitably, when there are leaks before such announcements, important points are left out - i.e. the announcement is "spun".

Originally Posted By jonvn "Dougie, just regurgitates empty necon rhetoric without making connections to the discussion at hand." Well, not entirely. He also fabricates out of whole cloth things people supposedly have had to say here. Or twists things out of all bounds so that the truth is completely gone. In other words, he's dishonest. That's the big picture.

If you make a statement that I feel cannot be supported by evidence, then I'll tell you that it's wrong. If I have the time and energy to explain why, then I'll do so. Otherwise I won't.

You are wrong, and I'm going to continue telling you, no matter how often you insult me. You can either continue wasting bandwidth with your insults, or you stop and begin engaging in honest debate and discussion. I'll be waiting.
