The sad truth is there are adults (gay or straight) into young folk. Here's a link to a recent $29 Million lawsuit against BSA, which, if you know anything about the Mormon overlay within the organization, should make it pretty obvious it was the Mormon Church's fault, not BSA's. But this is the type of thing they want to avoid at all costs. Can you blame them? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...667.html

But official BSA policy is "no gays," including the scouts themselves. I don't see how that's not homophobic.

The overlay was tastefully done (I never saw the show, so I can't comment on that), and just seemed to work. No, the film didn't hit it big at the box office or DVD sales, but it did a respectable job. I can see the Wilderness Explorer thing working too, however it will just seem less natural to me. Instead of being in the same area that the film took place (yes, I realize the era in the park is completley different than in Brother Bear), it's an idea from the film extrapolated into an existing setting. Some of the best attractions take an idea from the films, and run on that tangent (Mr Toad and Peter Pan), so I could see this working very well. I will be interested to see how they work Dug in, since he doesn't seem like quite as natural of a fit. It will also be fun to earn the different merrit badges and try to collect them all. I'm disappointed that they're removing such a seamless tie-in for one that seems like a little too much Pixar in an already Pixar-heavy park, but it does seem like it will be well done. On the other hand, I'm really looking forward to Phineas and Ferb! Any ideas where the show will take place? I'm guessing on the HPB stage, since it already has the DJ setup? There are so may ways that the show could go that it will be really interesting to see how it ends up. And will there also be meet and greets? The AP newsletter, while lacking in almost every other facet, did mention that guests would be able to meet them, but it may have just meant that you can see them in the show...
