Walt Disney was STILL on tv every Sunday night here in Perth, granted in re-runs but there was NO excuse for a child in 1983 to be THAT ignorant! And to say, "I thought he was a cartoon character" is not just ignorant and inaccurate, it's kinda WEIRD! It's like saying, "I thought Queen Elizabeth was just a cartoon character." Trust me, CGI was in its absolute nacent "brave little toaster/tin toy" stages back then and COULD NOT create a photo realistic human form. NO bloody excuse! As for the second dimwit, I just felt SO BADLY for her that she had travelled thousands of kilometres from Perth to Los Angeles and missed THE BEST parts of DL. I guess I transposed myself onto her and felt what I would feel if I missed out on all those great attractions! It just did my head in!!!

I couldn't believe my 60 year old Dad (who has been visiting the parks since he was a kid) had never seen Billy Hill and the Hillbillies OR even been inside the Golden Horseshoe. He told me that when we were at the park and I started to overreact, then reminded myself I'm not just a Disney fan, I'm a Disney Geek and missing something like that isn't as big of a deal to some people. So I calmly informed him that as soon as we got off the Mark Twain (where we were at the time), we would be headed over there. He LOVED it!

"Like how would you react to somebody if they had a $100,000 winning lottery ticket but accidentally threw it out?" Apoplectic! Not really. I'd feel bad for them, but I see no reason for anger. "Seriously, you're on a board full of proud Disney geeks. It's like telling us our leader wasn't a real person but a drawing." To be honest, sometimes Walt is treated more like god than a real person on Disney boards.

Sometimes I just don't get how people do things!
