    Shootout!

Well, then the courts come into play. And if the executive won't follow court orders, well, that's also impeachable.

    Anything is, really.

"The problem is that congress has taken impeachment off of the table - which frees up the president to do anything he wants."

Yes. Perhaps if articles of impeachment were served up, and voted on, that might change his attitude, but I doubt it.

If they let the President get away with this, then they deserve a lower approval rating.

I am sure he does, however, Wikipedia has a checkered past and present as well. I would pick a different source.

Whatever one thinks of Wikipedia, that IS an accurate accounting of Fielding's past.

But attacking its credibility does provide a good way to move attention away from the issue at hand with the implication that the source is not credible on the matter, without actually saying so.

If congress subpeonas testimony from anyone in the administration - past or present - bush will claim that they're covered by executive privilege and forbid their testimony.

Hence, what's the point of continuing the investigations? It's time to move to the next step - articles of impeachment. On BOTH bush and cheney - two birds with one stone. It's hard to tell which one is more responsible for the corruption anyway.
