    Actually, that isn't the case at all. This deal is being scrutinized, and from this, there may be more safeguards put in place at our ports, and equally important, at ports overseas.

    So Rush's position of "trust Bush & co and don't question anything" wouldn't have done a thing to make the ports safer. It's only because of the outcry that positive changes may come from this. The lapdog crew, as usual, would have been complacent and unquestioning.

    That isn't Rush's position.

    There were several prominent conservatives that questioned this deal. However, most of them did it without the hysteria and misinformation that characterized the attacks from the left.

    Like Douglas said, this is not Rush's position at all. He simply wanted everyone to look at the economics of the deal, the fact that we don't own any of our own ports, who the UAE is, who would actually be in charge of port security, and to get all the facts before going into knee jerk reaction like so many on here have done.

    Turns out his approach was correct and he was basically on his own when this all went down. It's why he is number one.
