Holiday weekend, Valentine's Day, President's Day, Daytona 500, schools out in many areas of NE and MW ... parks were packed, but as the week went on, they slowed considerably. EPCOT felt very empty Thursday. And more importantly, per capita spending is going to fall bigtime because most guests at WDW have been staying on the 4/3 deal ... and while the values have been near sold out and the mods have had healthy load levels, the deluxes have been a different story ... I spent some time at Beach Club and Poly this week and both appeared to be, at best, half full. In addition, no one is buying anything. I often looked around at people and didn't see anyone with shopping bags for minutes at a time in any direction. WoD now has a sale the likes of which I have never seen. Basically, the whole store is on sale. It seemed like a Circuit City going out of business deal, yet there weren't exactly lines at the registers. Disney makes a tremendous amount of money on all that merchandise people bring home with them. And while they may be visiting now, they aren't spending while there ... at least not anywhere close to even a slow time. ~Pass the Pixie Dust~

I spend very little at the parks these days, as there is little worth purchasing, and most of it ends up as landfill because they are sooo cheaply produced.

There were certainly things I might have bought in the past, especially with the huge sale at WoD. But self control is a wonderful thing. ~Pass the Pixie Dust~

We were trying to make a dinner reservation Thursday and the 6:45 showing of the American Adventure on Friday through a sea of bodies. It was very crowded in the evenings.
