Sign you are spending too much time reading on LP...dreams based on LP topics.

(And believe it or not, I've stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in DLP once when I was working in Paris - took the RER in to town every morning, and back every evening. Made for a fun time at night, even if I couldn't get into the parks every day.)

Then they broke my heart. No Disney. They wanted to do Sea World, an airboat, lotsa shopping, Medieval (sp?) Times, and a water park. I cried, I begged, I was a mess. But they won out. The two concessions they made for me: we did Blizzard Beach, and here's where it kinda hurt-- we stayed at All Star Movies. I spent some time at the poolside bar nursing my pain away. If I couldn't be at the Magic Kingdom, I would at least visit my own little Margaritaville. It ended up not being so bad, and since they footed most of the bill. I really didn't have much choice. This year, the pass comes back, and they are staying home.

He had some friends from when he used to work there that got us in free on a couple visits, but most of the time we didn't do the parks, just the hotels. I'm leaving on a cruise in March and we have one night in Orlando before. We're spending it at the AKL and eating at Boma, but no parks on that visit either. I think it would be great to enjoy the resorts and get your money's worth out of your hotel amenities without doing parks. Of course, I wouldn't want to do it on every visit, but for a change I think it would be nice. Have fun!
