So a new venue would have to be found, they did try the Fantasyland Theater (currently the Princess Fantasy Faire) but there was some issues about limited size. Other possible locations, the Festival Arena facility, you could set up a stage area and decorations and leave them up, but after they have the stage and orchestra pit area built, how much room do you have for seating and viewing? One place Disney supposedly looked into was the Hyperion Theater, but a lot of folks had a problem with that location. It is a workable location, but then it loses some of the "flavor" of having it in the park. But mainly due to the why the choirs are selected and used, you are limited to just one weekend, you could maybe find a way to make it be offered for 2 weekends. But most Public High School groups can't participate, since they feel it is too religious of a setting. Many of the choirs come from churches and Private/Parochial Schools, and of course, the Disneyland CM's that volunteer and practice on their own time.

I think the dinner is horribly overpriced as it is! Two adults and a kid for dinner at Storyteller (the cheapest option) and then you get, ostensibly, free seats, and it costs $225! To the guy who thinks they should raise their prices--great, why not just make it $500? That will price lots of folks out and make it a really elite thing for the wealthy only. Gotta love capitalism.
