So the locals all thought it was pouring so they went home. Sounds like the typical soCal weather situation...that is when we have 'weather'...

"Seriously, why did so many of the Disney blogs want this film back?...Can we blame Miceage for this?"

I don't know if we should, but I've had that feeling all along. Some people really wanted it right after he died, but the infatuation with it quickly passed. They seemed to be the only site that kept pushing the issue like it was a great idea... and they seem to be the only people who want to see it now.

Stop trying to protect EO. It's not doing well. It was unpopular.

Lines everywhere else pretty much - everything, literally, small lines if anything, even the Tiki birds and people tromping up the stairs to see Tarzan, but no one seeing EO that evening. Plenty of folks turning out to see the parade, plenty of churros being sold, plenty of to-do's being to-done.

    But no love for EO.

But not a fun crowd to see EO with. They walked out saying What was all the fuss about, I just didn't get it, etc. I planned to give it another try later but never made it. The thumping floor was irritating and thought I made get seasick. I also sat pretty far back in the theatre and swear I saw lightbeams projecting and the explosive blast effect. Maybe we are so technically spoiled with the latest fireworks and 3D that the EO special effects just become uneffective.
But I am still glad I experienced it and will see it next trip. It is an important theatrical piece of history with MJ and George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola. If people don't get that I feel sad. Do most people even know Walt Disney anymore?

Was CaptEO before Star Wars because it seemed to have early practicing with this idea for George Lucas?

Plus the soundtrack comes off as being somewhat muted. I get more out of Tiki Room storming thunder than anything in EO. Also, Jackson's voice is too soft for what the StarWarsian show pretty much intimates that it is.

It should have been completely remixed to today's high tech action films.
