BTW, I love the pre show to EO, the BTS of EO being made. Get there 8-10 minutes early to catch this.

So, as we know, Philharmagic would fit snug into this theater. The big question is, how to theme it to tomorrowland? Or, does Disney just say, the heck with it and do it after Eo's run? I mean, Magic Journeys really didn't "fit" into Tomorrowland.

I want Magic Journeys on DVD! I'd by that for a nickel!

I loved the pre-show. So many heavy hitters, Oscar winners, influential producers/directors. And this is what they've come up with?

It's cheesy, but more like Velveeta than the generic store brand (it ain't Brie).

Wasn't someone here calling the opening floating meteor some sort of WOW moment? Really? Yawn.

The stuff that was supposed to be funny was incredibly unfunny (I'm looking at you Hooter). Not that there wasn't any humor, it was just all unintentional.

Speaking of Hooter, regardless of which end is making the noise, those are fart jokes.

The first half of the movie is spectacularly bad. Nothing redeeming whatsoever. I was cringing through most of it. Once they land, it does improve a bit. I like the sets. Anjelica Huston does a lot of scenery chewing that helps salvage things a bit. MJ is obviously talented and the songs are catchy. Costumes and choreography are really dated.

The floor is distracting. Way overdone.

Overall I was entertained. Add the stuff I legitimately liked to the camp and nostalgia and it was worth the 5 minute wait time. Not sure I was entertained enough to see it twice though.

The most corntastic, cheesetastic experience I've ever had?

The floor thumping at the end did start to feel a little wrong to me. I wasn't sure if it was meant to make me dance to the beat or ??. If you had a bad back you'd be hurting after the movie was over.

Anyway, I can't be the only person who smiled when the movie started just because it brought me back to the 80's, right? I mean whether it was good, bad, or indifferent, it still was a great blast from the past that made me giggle.

And come on??? Who didn't cheer when good old MJ did that moonwalk? Heck, we were high-fiving our neighbors ;)

I think most of us forget ...
that when it comes to sussing out anything that is dated .. we judge it by today's standards. Or, another way of saying it ... Judging a 1986 show by 2010 standards.

I think it's one of those subconscious things we do all the time in day to day life.

Sure the graphics are cheesey, the storyline is akward, but it's wonderful in all it's cheesey camp glory. I will definitely go see this again.

**I am a fan of all things camp, cheese, and "B". I am a rare breed who finds delight in imperfections and over the top things that are so cheesey they make the masses hurl.

Essentially during the old EO the bass sub-woofer would shake the floor of the queue for Space Mountain on the terrace extended queue...

Which is now the part of the floor that "thumps" from the motion base during the same song.

I don't think it's a coincidence but rather a misplace attempt to play into guest nostalgia.
