In a place called TOMORROWland, why should we have to make allowances for the choice to show a terribly dated film?

You know, Disney makes a lot of money. Tons of money. Giant, heaping tanker truck loads of money. With that in mind, I believe they can do better, in the year 2010, than resorting to showing a film from 1986 -- "tribute" or not.

It was dated when they finally removed it back in the 90's. It didn't get any fresher. It should be shown exclusively in Yesterland.

He was a sick, despicable person who, unfortunately, was never taught what society expects of a decent human being. He was surrounded all his life by people that let him do whatever he wanted to as long as he performed and made money (for all other questions, please read "Lord of the Flies"). He was a late-night talk show host dream. There's even a Christmas parody about him on Twisted Christmas that begins "Grab your balls like Michael Jackson..." How's that for a legacy? But he's dead now, and I really wish he would just go away.

I recall the cult status MJ had back then. They could have played a movie of him breaking wind and it would have been a hit.

I never saw anyone follow up with "But MJ, you ARE the guy on stage!"

Other than that, I'm glad to see the show return. I've read many glowing reports about it, and from what others are saying the crowds have been, while not wall to wall, at least far larger than HISTA in its last several years. I loved EO during its first run, and can't wait to see it again in DL.

Guess me & craz ain't gonna be sharing popcorn and sitting together in the front row any time soon . . . . .

EO is dated, to be sure, but it still highlights the King of Pop in his uber-prime, and that's okay by me.

    Crotch grabbing and all. ;)

As for Hooter being some sort of phallic symbol, that is a huge stretch, the first thing I think of when I see hooter is an Elephant walking on two legs, not some sort of subliminal sexual message. Crazy Croc I really think you need to look back and reallize that this was made in the eighties when people wore tight pants, and did hip thrusts as part of dancing. Not many people look back at movies like Holiday Inn and think it is disgusting, because of the use of "black face", because that was acceptable then, in fact many theatre still show holiday in. In my mind you can make remarks about Michael Jackson as a person, but as an entertainer (especially in Captain EO) he is fantastic. I will leave you with one last message. History happened, and if we don't know about it were doomed to repeat it.

When I hear the name Michael Jackson my thoughts turn to the children involved and how innocence was stolen from them, they can't visit the park when this is playing without the hurt and shame being thrust in their faces.

Fowley, you're assuming facts not in evidence. There is absolutely no proof that innocence was stolen from anybody. In fact, there's a pretty large parade of former kids who have stated in open court that they had fun at Neverland Ranch with no stealing of anything.

And Constance, that was a pretty lame shot, coming from one who usually is pretty clever.

They spoke of drinking Jesus Juice (wine) from a cup, and the cops found that. They spoke of sleeping in the same bed with a man not their relative, so they could all cuddle together - the celebrity himself confirmed this on national television. Not to mention his obsession with his appearance that caused him to have so much plastic surgery his nose fell off. With someone so tainted and flawed, why would Disney even think this show would draw parents that saw this when they were younger? I remember this show and thought it was pretty cool. Now the thought of it nauseates me.
