But we checked out the playground on our recent trip and it was filled with happy kids. It is also kind of a hassle to get over to the Island... in all the times we've been to WDW we've never bothered with it.

This is one attraction that I hear the most negitive comments about...it is boring, great place to nap ect. It is really sad to hear comments like those and I would rather see it be retired and a new thrill ride built in its place IMO. If you look at what the new thrill ride/attractions have done for the other parks then it would only make sense to build a new E-ticket in the MK and in Tomorrowland. Motors, TOT and RnRC have rejuvenated the Studios, Everest has boosted attendance in AK... MS, TT and Soarin have breathed new life in Epcot future world and a new E-ticket in Tomorrowland would make the best MK even better IMO. Yes it is time to retire COP, after all it is just a commercial for GE products.
