Is there a law that says Main Street can't have any significant attractions?

As a dad with more than a few kids, I have to disagree with you on the playground, I know you are talking about Pooh's area. I have LONGED for a place like that in the MK for years where we can rest a few minutes and let the kids go play. It used to be Donald's Boat but for some reason, ( I assume health risks) there is no water in there anymore.

The Pooh Playground gets MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR approval from me and many other parents of more than one child.

Epcot....Large Ship to the left of Norway, whcih goes unoticed by vast numbers of people. Ofcourse we use the fountians for playground action too.

Somw would say that in the MK that small little covered area in Toon Town counts or the tiny space under the bridge next to the exit of Splash Mountain...but no, we needed Pooh!!!

What kind of carousel would it be then? A Carousel of Decline?

Our kids are well past the playground age... our 'baby' is 22. But we checked out the playground on our recent trip and it was filled with happy kids. I'm convinced the great majority of those kids were enjoying the playground more than they would have enjoyed the subs.

The MK has Tom Sawyer Island which is a good place for kids to run off steam, but it is geared to kids a little older than those at the Pooh playground. It is also kind of a hassle to get over to the Island... in all the times we've been to WDW we've never bothered with it.

Yea, but I'm almost 54. They'd probably make me wear a life vest and sign a waiver...

I love the music. Does anyone know where I can get a cd of MSEP music?

It is really sad to hear comments like those and I would rather see it be retired and a new thrill ride built in its place IMO. If you look at what the new thrill ride/attractions have done for the other parks then it would only make sense to build a new E-ticket in the MK and in Tomorrowland. Motors, TOT and RnRC have rejuvenated the Studios, Everest has boosted attendance in AK... MS, TT and Soarin have breathed new life in Epcot future world and a new E-ticket in Tomorrowland would make the best MK even better IMO. Yes it is time to retire COP, after all it is just a commercial for GE products.
