I'd think they know enough about the COP to use it in this manner... I mean, this IS D23, they are the "historical" aspect of the company.

Probably just a play on words and aesthetics, like TP2000 said.

...though, I would be a but hopeful that they at least have COP on the mind.

Maybe, maybe, maybe, that refurb is finally on the way.

You may, but this apparition understands that it is a very busy time for spirits.

You know what, while I CRAVE for Disney to be ambitious again, first, they actually have to keep up the history they already have there.

THEN they can start building out...

Just change a couple lines of dialogue (mostly the ones that mention a year, change those to 20-30 years later), keep everything else the same (including the lack of maintenance), and voila! new attraction! What more could you ask for?

No, CoP is a "pavilion" so people can come and go to see it any time the exhibit floor is open. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...hsGVGPak for video from the Parks and Resorts exhibit from the inaugural Expo.

Hmmm... While I am sure there are lots of locals that were in attendance, I'm not a Southern Californian, and I certainly encountered a lot of out of area Disney fans, even from outside the U.S.!

Considering that the Expo is being used to promote what's coming up, I suspect the emphasis isn't so much on a WDW attraction in need of TLC but the spirit behind the attraction, a great big beautiful tomorrow and all that.

Maybe they are thinking more broadly than just Southern Californians. If polled, I wonder how many attendees would say that they have been to WDW as well as DLR. I think you would find that people inclined to attend the Expo are at least familiar with WDW offerings, even if they have never been there before.

I would love for this to tie in with a refurb for the CoP, but I think it's more of just playing with words for a title.

When the opportunity arises, I try to encourage WDW regulars to visit DLR at least once. And I believe in the reverse as well.
