We got to the theater for the second matinee. It only showing on one screen at my multiplex. I was surprised when we walked in to a more than half-full auditorium.... the first time I saw Cars on opening weekend the theater was only a quarter full (of course it was playing on multiple screens then.) On a side note, I have been going to various stores on an almost daily basis, looking for the elusive "Nitroade" die-cast Car. There are 16 different individual Cars, and a few are "short packed," meaning they are difficult to find. I have yet to find Nitroade. I also notice in my visits that these toys are still flying off the shevles. Once a store gets any stock of the die-cast, they are gone by the next day.

(Except for "The Horse and His Boy.")> Wow...well I know it's not strictly "if you read the books you won't like the movie", but I still find it amazing people can love the books as much as me yet still love the film. My sister and I were both extremely disappointed and let down by it, and felt so empty afterward. We used to make fun of the BBC series because of the low-budget effects and some poor acting, but we agree the BBC at least got the "feel" for Lewis's stories right---at least, the way we felt growing up with them. We much prefer the charming, intimate little world of Narnia as opposed to the effort at a grand, sweeping epic we saw. And what have you got against "The Horse and His Boy"? That's one of the best books in the series! (much better than "The Magician's Nephew" or "Prince Caspian", IMO)

And while I admit the movie didnot cover the book like Peter Jackson did for lotr ( although I have some issues there also- especially at the end) - I thought they did fairly well
