Buy you aren't the typical WDW visitor. Most have never set foot in Anaheim.

Really? Technology is what is important?
And here I always thought it had to be a fun attraction that people enjoyed.
If the new technology, then Disney could save a fortune by forgoing the theming, story, character and all those other things and just go into building rides that are just made of technology. Yep, that ought to attraction millions of people. (Gosh this new technological advancement of an automatic sarcastic keyboard works really well!)

Hey I could stop by a couple days or so hit a cruise and stop by on the way back..all in one trip instead of 2 TRIPS to DL and WDW and boat.

Saves on extra plane ticket, hotels that don't compare to WDW vs motels DL.

If they don't.... I will still need to go to DL ... cause I just love RR @ Luigi's Flying Tires. :) Instead of 5 day DL and 7 day WDW the possibilites are ENDLESS !!

they arent going to have 2 $500 million projects going on simultaneously at 2 different parks after a huge MK expansion and new, unfilled hotels.

Yes, a great theme and story line are absolutely necessary, but should it be played out in a dark ride with glow in the dark flats? No we need the synergy of the both of them. Wasn't it also new technology that allowed the elevators at TOT to travel up and down faster than gravity and move forward out of the shaft? Mission to Mars is great technology but with a weak story. It's great to have both, but Disney has been pushing the wow factor to new heights. I would like see that continue and it will take new technology and a great story to get us there.

Sentiment here on LP ebbs and flows like the tide. Seriously. One minute people are moaning about losing an ancient dark ride (Snow White) and another they're complaining that Disney isn't utilizing the most cutting edge ride technology on its latest projects. At some point Disney has to get on with the business of improving its parks as it sees fit without weighing the opinion of every uber fan online.

But certainly not unprecedented. Star Tours and Body Wars existing simultaneously. Test Track and Radiator Springs Racers are really strikingly different experiences that just happen to have similar ride delivery systems.

    >>I was just having this discussion with a friend in the know about this very topic and he told me that Carsland was hot a bit ago but has cooled down recently...<<
I would say the only thing that has cooled is the on line speculation that Cars Land would be a big flop because of its limited appeal. I also don't buy that there has been major internal disenchantment. The approval ratings on Cars Land are through the roof. The only complaints center around the down times for RSR, and when special merchandise runs out. (Yes, people complain when they can't spend their money in Cars Land!)

Remember, it's Cars characters racing. That's all you need to know. Have fun with it.

Eh. Not really. It was jimmy-rigged onto the PeopleMover track.

    And it sucked.
