Wasn't it these same uber-fans that convinced Disney that the return of Lincoln would bring guests flocking to its gates. It has the latest AA technology. Look at how that paid off for Disney. (yawning through the dripping sarcasm here.) Seriously bringing back a technological upgrade of a show that is over 40 years old? BORING.

If Radiator Springs Racers draws lines here, it will probably draw lines elsewhere. Oh, and Rocket Rods was one of the stupidest wastes of money by that vaunted Imagineer with the initials T.B. ever done.

And speaking of west of the Mississippi, I know a LOT of people here in Colorado who have been to WDW but not DLR. I think that the common wisdom is that if you're going to travel, then you might as well go to WDW.

It's the same 'weird' factor as building Indiana Jones Adventure at DHS. I agree - why not build something completely different in Florida? You could do an indoor Indy mine car coaster in the area of the current stunt show for instance instead of just dropping in a clone of the DLR or TDS Indy ride. The guys down the street at Universal are putting their pedal to the metal to build up the Potter franchise and draw in more guests to their parks - you would have to feel that increased attendance at those parks will not be the result of increased visitors to Orlando but a shift in those coming to the area from a Disney park to a Universal park for one or more days. The battle is on in O-town, is it not?

I think they're drawing from the same playbook.
