When I was leaving the classroom last night, I turned my cell phone back on and I see that I have a message. It was my sister screaming at me for taking this class and not being available for her to call me during the commercials! lol I called her back around 10:30PM and she's still screaming! I had to promise to call her after I watched it first thing this am. I thought it was awesome how Piers got back at her. Not by name calling, just by winning. And not only winning, but slaughtering!

And he's right, it was a stupid idea. His was much better. And as for the other team, they looked like garbage (Jim Cramer even said so). Interestingly, they did make more money, but I suspect that's only because Alex Baldwin showed up and paid $10,000 for a printer or whatever (plus the money was only part of the judging for that task anyway). Gene Simmons is now my HERO...the guy is a genius and not afraid to tell it the way it is. I only wish those execs were in the boardroom too so he could tell them to their face. However, since the show is all about sponsership and product placement, it doesn't surprise me that Trump HAD to give Gene the boot...even though he was right and the execs were just stupid, and peturbed by the fact that he ignored them...the alpo folks were also peeved at Gene for not listening to them (see a pattern here?), but like he said "the product spoke for itself"...the Kodak situation was exactly the same but the execs were more petulant about it.

So let's see: Left is "Hydra" Piers, Lennox, and Carol vs. "Empesario" Trace and Stephan. This week that had to create and sell $2.00 Quiznos sandwiches. Two hours to plan, and two hours to sell, without the aid of calling in favors and getting $10,000 for a BLT. Hydra, under Lennox, create the Champ sandwich (turkey and cheese). Empresario, under Trace, come up with the Cowboy Club (prime rib.) Hydra wins, selling 313 sandwiches, compared to Empresario selling 253. In the end, it comes down to Trace having a better track record than Stephan, who get's the heave-ho. I think both teams missed a huge opportunity by focusing soley on foot traffic and not calling surrounding office buildings and taking pre-orders. Surely they could have scored some large orders from hungry office workers.

So, that part had me confused. I know he hasn't done that well in the last 2 weeks. It was a tough decision, I thought. I was hoping Trace and Stephen would win the challenge, b/c I thought their sandwich sounded better and more creative than the usual "Champ" thing that Piers always uses! Did you go to Quiznos.com and vote for your fav. sandwich? You can win a tip to NYC.

I went to NBC.com trying to find out when the finale is, and there was a poll there. The 4 finalists names were listed. The question was "Who do you think will be the winner?" or something similar. I clicked the bubble for Piers. You know how they always show how the poll is going after you do that? Most of the time it is split up with each person having so much of a percentage? Well, Piers had 100% and everyone else had 0%.
