But if a movie takes place in space, involves spaceships and lasers and other planets and a mystical "force", then it's science fiction, and thus belongs completely in Tomorrowland (regardless of what Lucas put into the opening title).

Although the original Tomorrowland was far from perfect, the theme of the land was supposed to be science fact and technology not sci fi, and I think that this is the issue that some people have with the franchise being a part of Tomorrowland. Star Tours and Captain Eo pretty much put an end to that era. Actually, come to think of it, America Sings may have been the first major step away from the original concept following the 1967 remodel.
