Obviously, it won't be an attraction on that scale, but they could do some modest little show that highlights the new direction the park is taking. Frankly, anything will be better than a shop!

They might even have a small theatre to show Golden Dreams for those who want to see it. But like the Opera House, you could just come in and see the exhibits and then leave if you wanted to; you wouldn't HAVE to see the film. I'm picturing a smaller theatre than the original GD theatre or Lincoln's, of course. More like Turtle Talk size.

Originally Posted By plpeters70 <<You mean like Golden Dreams?>> I'd prefer something like the American Adventure, but I suppose they don't have room for that. But they could do a small stage show in that space with animatronics and video. But, what Golden Dreams really lacked was a post-show area - like Dabob's idea above. So that, once you see the movie, you have more to explore. Like the old EPCOT pavilions. I'm hoping they do something along those lines in the Carthay.

The days of needing 500+ seat auditoriums at Disney parks are over, as not enough people are willing to sit through a theater show to justify big spaces like Lincoln has. Although I'm now kicking myself for cycling through all of the pictures at Dug's link and getting to a the "one-piece suit" picture at the very end. ;-)
