Although I've never voted Democrat in my entire life, I think in answer to your question, I will take the moonbats over the Credit Card Conservatives.

didn't say that so who's twistig words noe, just because you statements in a mirror aren;t so pretty..

they can attack us no matter what- but with the ACLU protecting their rights as well as ours- the odds are greater with a Dem controlled ( and more so with the near left wing left) -in office - because they don;t want to lost ALL their liberties in the phone tapping issue..

and apprarently the majority of the country the last 2 elections feels the same way -- I am not happy about a lot of things on the GOP platform, but they are on the right track with this

yes i do..how's that for staright forward - any vote against any part of the war on terror sends a message that the populace is caving, so just hang around and they will go away , then we can hit them again ...

-- and most of those sniping comments come in the form of ripping bush and the GOP as - far right wing / Satan / Hitler, etc etc - so the mirror is the place to start to review those comments

I strongly disagree. We don't give our leaders blank checks in this country to do whatever they like in the name of 'security.' Most people would hate that idea -- especially in times when their own party isn't in charge.

Wasn't this about the Iraq war, and not the war on terror anyway?

It just boggles my mind how many people are a part of the extreme right, and feel that any dissent is "caving to terrorism".

Thbe wiretapping that you and your Frisco buddies oppose for some paranoid reason have been bustong up terror plots all over the world. So we know that if Pelosi or some other person who thinks like you actually had power, there is a chance the very programs that stop the bad guys would be eliminated. This is why it is so important to defeat liberals at the polls, they could get us killed out of sheer igorance.

    Cheney was right.

I also couldn't disagree more. Voting for Ned Lamont isn't voting against the war on terror. It's a vote for "Iraq is not working, our boys are dying, let's bring them home." The idea that Democrats or liberals don't support the war on terror is absurd. And gaduzuux is right - Bush and Co. have been so successful conflating Iraq and the war on terror, that they're able to say anyone who doesn't support Iraq wears a bin Laden for President button.

How many times can it be noted that Iraq was not a threat? It never was. We've wasted American lives and American dollars that would not have been wasted in Afghanistan.

No. Americans didn't elect congress based on war in Iraq. They did elect Ned Lamont based on his desire to get out of Iraq. It's been covered prominently and has become an important race for both parties to watch as a forerunner to this November.

No wonder why Cheney's spinning hard. But this time Americans aren't swallowing his fearmongering tripe.

just as it boggles my mind that some people think we here in the US live in some form of vacuum, and that things that happen here aren't looked at by the rest of the world for patterns and direction....

you mean a minority % of the electorate in Connecticut voted against it by less than 2% -- wow a landslide...

Dem's don't evenmake up the largest % of the voting block in Conn.. so you may want to hold that victory party and not start it too soon, my like mr Kerry and his merry band of goofs on election night.
