    At the moment there are EPA calculations that show equivilents of miles driven on an EV to the gallon. Also, the Volt is only 230 mpg for 50 miles (because it runs on charge for 40 miles, then the gas kicks in and the portion of gas used to power the extra 10 miles is supposedly where that estimate is coming from) and that's only if you're driving it at around 40 mph.
