I love the Xmas Eve scramble at the stores. I purposely leave something to the last minute just to join in!!!

We received show tickets last Christmas to something that the gift giver and I had never discussed and that I'd never expressed an interest in. The tickets were also for a Wednesday night, where the venue would have been about a 3 hour drive from where I work. I appreciated the thought of the gift, but the choice seemed odd to me since it wasn't something I'd expressed an interest in, and that I'd either have to take off work really early or take the day off to be able to go. I appreciate that the gift giver enjoyed the show and thought I might as well, but it just seemed a little odd. Because of other circumstances, we ended up trading in the tickets for another night, and the show was ok but not something I'd do again even a lot of others really seem to like it. /cs
