So far the total of all Christmas preparations that have been completed in the Glitter household are a wreath on the front door and the purchase of a handful of gifts. Fortunately for me, the little Glitters want one big-ticket item for Christmas, and I was lucky enough to snag one several Wiiks ago. Shh, don't tell them, it's a secret. So that's the bulk of the shopping for them. So is anyone else hugely behind? Come share your anguish here. . . we understand and support you.

As for decorating, I have my little tree in my apartment, but my parents said they will probably leave a bunch of stuff for me to do once I get home. That's fine with me, since I like decorating for the holidays (it's how I get in the mood), but I hope I can convince them to bring the boxes up out of the basement before I get there. With the time delay I'm sure I'll do it all in one night after everybody goes to sleep. I have the best ways to get over jet-lag.

I just have to start wrapping but that's not easy with a 16 month old running around! And nap times are just never long enough... Anyone wanna come do it for me?

I haven't really talked about it on LP but it's been a year. We have a few wreaths up, all the Christmas boxes are out, the lights are pretty much on the house but they aren't plugged in (DH ran into some electrical problem and hasn't been able to get back to it). I'm procrastinating right now by being on LP. We don't even have a tree. I'm starting to feel like Charlie Brown. I know one thing: I will never miss Bash sign ups again. I think I need that momentum to get me going. I did manage to snag a few major gifts for the fam though so I'm taking some solace in that.

I'm gonna give myself a bit more LP time and then I'm gonna dive in and force myself to have a Merry Christmas. Eddie Murphy as Christmas Gumby springs to mind.

'Course I gotta ask them if the dog can stay, we've been so busy somehow we neglected to ask. Oops. I have tons of laundry to do so that we can pack. I have presents to deliver to my cousins here in town. I should probably go visit my sister in law in the hospital again. And we're celebrating Christmas with my hubby's grandparents tonight. And what am I doing? Playing on LP, myspace and facebook...

So somehow I need to fit in a few hours sleep, washing, cleaning, wrapping presents, visiting extended family and friends, packing for our trip to my parents, all in that day... At least I have decorations out now, but only because DH took pity on me and did them... I have to say though, despite all that I am feeling remarkably festive lol!!

I plan on being a big bump on a log for the rest of the night. Tomorrow I will spend just about the entire day wrapping my clients presents but I haven't wrapped any of my on family's presents. Not that I'm feeling any pressure, mind you. haha
