I tried to sew them on the machine and they're just too tiny. So, after spending a good hour and a half to sew 4 of them, I decided to do them by hand. It's not saving me any time but it's more enjoyable. At least it was when I was all fired up. Now I am dreading doing them. And their little jackets that I have to sew after that. I'm going to make cocoa and butterscotch brownies instead. (Family is out playing in the show and they'll want a treat when they come back in to thaw.

No glum faces on this cul de sac! Althought we don't have any Christmas plans, I'm kind of excited about this Christmas.

Then I remembered that not only do I not have any gifts that fit that description this year, I really don't have all that many gifts yet at all. But hey, if my frantic shopping on the 24th should include anything big, bulky, and dead-giveaway-shaped, I am SO prepared.

I bought them several weeks ago. Yes, they are all still in their packages.

So I not only don't have anything bought for this Christmas I've set myself up for buying them all something for next Thanksgiving. I just keep digging myself a deeper hole. I also just found out that I'll have 7 of them spending the night on Christmas Eve. I've always LOVED filling the stockings, sometimes it takes an hour just to get through the stocking stuff. I'm determined to cut back this year. I envision myself at Target on the 24th at 4pm because DS2 and his wife decide to stay over too. Thank you for listening. I think I'll go back to bed.

I did find a Halloween bird thing that I might attempt to make with holiday colors. I have to make one first to see if it will be possible to "whip" up 30 or so. I wanted to make these cute papier mache snowmen but that stuff is gross to work with and time consuming. Is it wrong that I only want to make something that is cheap and easy? Seems like the wrong approach to gift giving. ;-)
