Plus, I've got to figure out the type of yarn and what paper to use as hats and since my Xmas birdie won't be needing a broom, I've got to figure out what kind of Xmas doodad it's going to be holding or wearing. Did I mention I'm going to attempt to make 30 of these suckers? I've already decided they're going into plain, brown sacks with ribbon and a FREE sprig of cedar from our giant tree. LOL That chirping noise you hear is "cheap, cheap" not "cheep, cheep". ;-)

Clicks on link, oh, YARN! LOL!!! My sister just sent me an email about which day we should go to my mom's house to set up for Christmas Eve. At what point does our generation stop being the organizers and the next pick up the calling? I don't see it happening. Maybe if everyone shows up on Christmas Eve to paper plates and a bucket of KFC?

I need those vacation days back for shopping and decorating!! I'm liking Debs idea.

Maybe give them names and some little story. That might "charm" them up a bit. http://i50.photobucket.com/alb...dies.jpg I did not avoid doing anything today. I am so ashamed. After having a girl scout holiday party this afternoon, I came home and made fudge, decorated the xmas tree w/the fam and made a double batch of these blasted chocolate chip cookies that are very, very tasty but take FOREVER to bake. I made a double batch because the recipe said it would make 30 cookies. I needed 36, plus a few extras for...um...testing. Plus we're stocking the house with goodies for Dave's cousin who is staying here with the dogs while we're at DL next week. Anyway, the batch of dough keeps morphing back! I swear, I've made at least 50 cookies and I still have a TON of dough. It's ridiculous. Still have to dip pretzels in candy coating tonight, too. No, I'm going into "Preparation Avoider" mode. Also known as "coma-like sleep state".

Boy is our house different when no one will be here until the 23rd when all heck breaks loose The lighted, ornamentless tree looks awesome first thing in the morning, especially when I don't have my contacts in yet. mele, seriously those birds are adorable!

I still haven't decided what to have on Christmas Day. I have meat eaters, poultry and fish only eaters and a vegetarian. Breakfast, lunch or snacks and dinner. Every time I "decide" there is something wrong with it. Last year we did the whole foods dinners. They were good but I didn't need everything that was included. I'd better shut up or you'll hear all my thoughts and it would take pages. I think I can officially join the group this year. This is SO unlike me, I don't even recognize myself.
