Also more well known is a subjective comment- as I know in my area the Hobbit is required reading in high school. My daughter just read it last year and loved it but when she took one look at the size of the Lotr- she passed on reading that.

fwiw- I think thy're both classics

WTH is with Ewok hate?! I have never had a problem with them

So, they are cute-ish...kinda...not. They still kicked Empire AT-AT arse.

    More blasphemy!

<<but Eps 3, in seeing Obi Wan and Ani fighting,>>

Basically the only great parts of the prequels were the lightsaber battles.

<<the cull of the younglings bringing tears,>>

Bleh. I'd rather see Vader killing real Jedis. Anakin was built up as this great Jedi in the prequels and he did NOTHING great the entire time.

<<and the birth of the twins with Darth Vader made it pretty awesome.>>

Oh yea, the birth of the twins.

"She's lost the will to live"

    *hurls*

    The birth of Vader.

    "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

    *hurls*

They're freaking ridiculous. And were a marketing ploy to sell merchandise to the kiddies.

<<So, they are cute-ish...kinda...not. They still kicked Empire AT-AT arse. >>

Which is ridiculous. The Empire is supposed to be the most powerful army ever.

Killed by teddy bears. Bravo, George. We should have seen Jar Jar coming a mile away.

Other than that RotJ was great. Having it one the Wookie homeworld would have made the original Star Wars trilogy the best trilogy ever.

I'd rather wait 3 years than waiting 6 and seeing the cinematic abortion that was Episode I in the theaters.

"anticlimatic and stupid" are the two words I'd use to describe all the prequels, except for maybe Episode III. For that I'd just go with stupid.
