His last e-mail were pictures of a Scarlet Tanager, a Summer Tanager (in mid-moult), a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, a Philadelphia Vireo, a Yellow-headed Blackbird, and possibly the most beautiful small bird I've ever seen, a Painted Bunting. I don't remember if he photographed these in Quintana Texas or outside of Galveston.
