Old Key West is very nice as well. Though I tend to stay at the Pop to save money (when onsite). Or a campsite!

But I have to admit that since I did have to book SaraToGa Springs this time - expensive even with the discount - I really could see myself wanting to come back. Of course, the upgrade - which I found out "I" had nothing to do with and she does not think any of her colleagues did either - really spoiled us.

(The cost of the room for the 3 nights we were there - if we would have been paying rack rate + tax - would have been more than the total cost of the whole vacation ... including airfare.)

I actually really enjoy the Pop Century, though if I had unlimited funds (really unlimited), I wouldn't mind the Polynesian for a few nights (that is my favorite resort). But I'm really cheap, so then I'd go back to the Pop. :)

And do you recommend (spelling?) buying rooms from places like travelocity or booking via disney website?

Generally, I'd recommend watching a site like Mousesavers for discounts. AAA has some discounts as well, though you can do your own room-only AAA rates over the phone (just not packages).

Iris let us know that the room we were in - if we were paying rack rate (mickeyboy43 - that means the full published/non-discounted rate) plus tax - would be $630/night!

Mickeyboy43 - I will let others advise you on this as I don't have the experience to help you.

Could you have gotten an adult beverage or had food brought in? Did you have any kind of a view from the suite? At anytime during the night did you ever have the urge to sneak out into the Magic Kingdom? Did you ever contemplate taking the commode home with you?

We had the white chocolate carriage, as well as fruit and soft drinks/water available, so that was quite a bit. No real view, there wouldn't have likely been a way to sneak out, and I would not want the commode. :)
