Basically .... the site of "Mooby's" was indeed a former Burger King just immediately south/east of Knott's Soak City USA (water park).

When Randal tells Dante to get into his 1990s Oldsmobile ... and find his girl .. and we see him making a right out of the parking lot .... just a few hundred feet up is Crescent St. If Kevin Smith panned the camera too far up ... it would have reaveled some of the watertube slides in the water park .. and would have seen Independence Hall looming tall just behind that.

So much for it being New Jersey! :O)

The film shooting took place in Nov/Dec of 2005. And fairly immediately after that ... Mooby's/Burger King was demolished. But the footprint and parking outline with trees still exist. And when I get some time I'll get those photos up on Epson for a few of interested to check it out.

Just an FYI, Dean, drove by that area a couple of weeks ago and the Tower Records was no longer in business there. :)

WOW! I have lots of memories going there since the early 70s. I DID make the discovery that the Buena Park mall has a "Tower" location on the day I made the "Moobys" discovery.

I remember that area before that Circut City was there .... And if you remember there was a mobil home park immediately behind - all gone. Been gone for years ... those whole city block has been as slow as molassas for renewal. Now, it's starting to happen.

The guy who played Sexy Stud, though...wow!
