The first years dues are included in the initiation fee which is quite high.

If you really want to join now, and you have the disposable income, you might be able to get a corporate membership sooner than an individual one. The initiation fee is about $20 K to $25 K. Save up those pennies!

So take that for what its worst.

However he is really excited about it.

Last I heard, the stack of returned letters was very larger, in other words, most still wish to remain on the list.
Proof of the club's popularity. I was told the list is being closed and will be re-opened at a later date, but such date was not disclosed. Last time estimate we were given for new applicants was 15 years. Tough to say or predict, just depends upon how many memberships open and who, when the time comes, is ready for the commitment. It's an interesting topic of discussion to be sure.

I don't believe they're actually doing credit checks on every single applicant, it's probably just for those few who are next in line and will be receiving an invitation for application. The club is pretty secretive about their processes, and that would be a pretty inventive concept. If you hear anything additional, please let me know!

They're always super polite and always try to help, but I feel they're currently a bit overwhelmed by so many applicants. The club has grown tremendously popular with so many articles being published, including a recent mention in The Wall Street Journal regarding clandestine restaurants written by Hannah Karp. We've been on the list for approx. 7 to 8 years and have been told we have another 2 years to go. Seems like forever:) I spoke with another applicant who was on the list 2 years before us, and he also received the letter of intent. I'd hang in there as you never know whats going to happen. The policy of the club could always change regarding membership levels, increased the number of memberships allowed.
