The times I have been there it has been as a guest of my best friend who has help VP roles at 2 companies HQ'd near there. The companies hold the membership -
I am willing to bet this is true a lot - just like for skyboxes at games etc..

It would be interesting to know the proportion of corporate vs individual memberships. I bet vbdad is right - it's more of a perk for corporate big wigs and clients.

I would love to go in the future if I'm in the area when there's a meet.

I myself may go this fall as a friend has a friend (and you know the rest).

But I appreciate the thought. I'm not sure if I've done a good job conveying my thoughts on the place as it's become more well-known.

<<Perhaps it's an individual experience that one must make a proper decision on by themselves.>>

    True enough.

<<I promise to give an unbiased report after our experience and it will be interesting to see how it measures up to everyone else's opinion on the day.>>

Great ... look forward to reading!

<<And, it may sound dorky, weird, and CHEESY (to use a Mrs ElderP vernacular), but I am counting down the days like a little girl.

Tiaras, bacon, and new friends that I will be meeting for the first time....I cannot wait! xoxo>>

You do realize that's likely the first time tiaras and bacon have been used in the same sentence before :)

True, but yet I hear constantly of working class people who are members.

But I just went on 7/18 and the chateaubriand was just divine. I spoke with our server and he said that they had changed the menu previously and deleted this item, but due to popular demand, the chateaubriand was re-introduced. Just the reduction sauce alone was to die for!

So maybe they were just going through a small growning pain in recent years?

And I love the retro feel of the place. There are very few fine-dining places with dress codes open nowadays.
