That would have been totally worth it if she sang "Sugar Walls".

The other thing is, I'm not gay. I saw and um, felt some unusual things that night.

I understand they took the HISTA posters off ... put EO ones up. Took them down immediately. Poster holders have been blank. Now the HISTA one is back up.

Anyone at the park today to confirm the HISTA poster?

    Wassup???

I hear you. Again, enjoy yourself and don't take my comments as a personal attack on things you enjoy.

And second, I would ask you what makes you come to the Laughing Place forum and post regularly? What keeps you coming back and why do you like it?

These questions come in peace. No matter what your answer, I'm not waiting to attack or anything, I'm just genuinely curious. Hence my name.

Well, Oprah, I grew up in Northern California and Disneyland was almost a summer tradition, so for me it represents a connection to my childhood. More significantly, DL and WDW are symbolic of a hope for a more peaceful and tolerant world. They truly are special places that, in a philosophical sense, demonstrate the good that humans are capable of creating.

This is why I find it so troubling that corporate branding that is tranforming and overwhelming the guest experience right now. DLR is quickly becoming a gigantic commercial for Disney rather than a place to be inspired by humankind's achievements. It's almost impossible to believe that at one time DL and WDW (to an even greater degree) represented such lofty ideals.

"Things you get there that you can't get anywhere else."

There's nothing at DLR that I can't get elsewhere. Disney is, and always has been, the sum of its parts - not just one thing. That's what sets it apart. To be honest I'd rather go to Egypt or Istanbul than DL, but DL is much closer!

"And second, I would ask you what makes you come to the Laughing Place forum and post regularly? What keeps you coming back and why do you like it?"

That's hard to answer. Initially I was drawn to this site because of my fondness and curiosity about DL and WDW, but over time it's developed into something else. For example, I spend almost equal time in World Events as I do in the DL and DCA boards. I guess to answer your question, I like to come here because I can get the latest information on what's going on at the parks. I'm not really interested in Team Disney politics or who is who at Imagineering. I just want to know what's next at DLR, and I primarily enjoy the discussion and debate about those topics.
