Really? Do you know who did? It's always attributed to Twain.

Then again, the famous "Injustice anywhre..." quote that 's always attributed to MLK was actually him quoting someone else.

Years ago I worked with a guy from Cleveland. One day it was in the 40s or 50s and I was complaining about being cold and he told me that it was "barbecue weather.!" : )

I don't really buy into the whole "it's actually nice here in Phoenix even though it's 124 degrees, cause it's a dry heat". :p

No more than I buy into the "it's not that cold here" for whatever reason (I was freezing my ass off in Orlando a couple of years ago in December, we were wearing jackets, hats and gloves and we were a LOT colder than we are here in Tokyo today on a "typical" day).

Someone tell me where the most TEMPERATE climate is on the planet, and I swear I'll move there when I can!

We were in WDW in January 2003. We were amused at how "cold" the locals were. The CMs looked especially cute wearing their huge coats and rubbing their gloved hands as we paraded around in sweatshirts. We got a few looks from people, but no one had the guts to ask us if we were cold.

It doesn't identify the source but explains how it might have been misattributed to Twain.
