    I used to have a little solution for keeping my feet warm, but it doesn't last long unfortunately :(

    Oh, I know the perfect cure! I'll meet you at WDW!!! Its only a flight away. In terms of the snow, look at it this way. There are far more things to do up there when there is snow than there is here in Georgia. No one down here knows how to drive in cold weather. I was driving into work yesterday morning ( again it was 27 degrees outside ) and I had to see at least 8 cars pulled over to the side of the road that had overheated or whatever.

    Even if you owned, it can be cumbersome to upgrade insulation, especially in walls.

    Of course, out here houses are not built on concrete slabs. You will have either a crawl space or a basement. I know that newer construction out here (Colorado) has some pretty high insulation requirements. I remember when we lived in SoCal that when it got down to 50 degrees outside the furnace would start running (this was a house built in the late 80's). Out here, if its sunny and 50, our furnace doesn't kick in at all.
