'07 the Dueling Dragons castle was all tarped up like I have never seen before; it looked as if more than just a paint job was going on but I couldn't really tell too much---- could it be Universal was prepping it for Potter?

We've already got the pendulum swung too far in favor of attractions that are based on film franchises. All of Universal's parks are essentially a jumbled mess of attractions based on licensed characters from films that have absolutely nothing to do with any coherent theme. Please don't encourage Disney to to any more of this stuff than they already are (Toy Story, Monster's Inc, Nemo, etc.)

We have heard that this castle--which was mostly a ruined structure that merely suggested what had once been there before the dragons destroyed it--may be going away completely, since it would make no sense to have TWO castles located so closely together. The rumors we have heard is that the rollercoaster portion on this attraction will remain but that it will, somehow, be re-themed to tie into that Harry Potter mythology. The old, ruined castle may be torn down so as to not clash with Hogwart's Hall, which is supposed to be massive in scale. At least this is what we've been told. But time will tell the real story.
