Also more for the children, just in case.. more for safety reasons if any reason at all.. As for cell phones I do not like them either.. People need to get a life and not be on them 24/7 and especially at the parks.. Only use them when you have to...

However, this was not a pleasurable experience. first we had the task of finding a quite channel, which we eventually did as much as can be expected inside DL. We did only use them if we had too and did our best not to be annoying with them, as the people in line constantly nattering 'where are you now?' really get to me. Then at the end of the day when they were turned off I could still hear that 'Blip' sound everywhere. I thought I was going crazy. I am watching one of the kids talk to me and I hear 'blip' before and after they speak and static over their voice. Those things can really screw with your brain if you are forced to have them on all day. while they were usufull for a large group I would never use them unless we had to. A family trip would never require their use.

People toured Disney parks for 40 years without two-way radios and managed to get along fine. They may be handy, but they are unnecessary, IMO.

You would not pay me enough money to go to DL with kids, much less 60 brats.

    >>However, this was not a pleasurable experience.<<

Of course!! DL is meant for us adults to enjoy sans kids.

We have a set of the Disney 2 ways - and a v ery expensive set of 2 ways also - and we stopped using them -- first off they come in sets of two - and for our family that is 2 sets -- and secondly because the noice level is so high I did always feel I was irritating people arouund me-- and also had sketchy service -- especially if someone was in a park and someone else say at DTD.

With phones you can always text message also - then you dont have to worry about bothering someone around you, or hearing the phone ring

TDLFAN, are you serious? I mean if so that's fine, to each his own, but I was just wondering if you really really don't like kids, or if you are just funnin'.

Just to clarify, I did mean that the use of the radios was not enjoyable... though there were a bunch of kids they are mostly all good kids and I really enjoy the look on their faces and the reactions they get in DL espicially if it is their first time =)

However he (and me too!) does not care for brats! ;)

Brat - Any kid that belongs to someone other than yourself.

I am not sure where I heard this first but I say it now and then.

"I wouldn't take a million dollars for any of my kids, but I wouldn't give a dime for any of yours."

Yes we all are perfect parents and know so much more than anyone else.... lol

We have a set of 2 ways that we use sometimes when we take our extended family. They are actually Memorex brand oddly enough but they supposedly have a range of 5 miles. We have used them with no problems whatsoever and they work really really well.

When we don't take the extended family (last trip we took 22 people if you count two infants) and the 2 ways came in real handy.

When the numbers are lower, and our minimum that we can take is 7, as we have 5 kids of our own <---- loves saying that BTW, we use cell phones.

I try not to use the radios cuze they are expensive and I am afraid that they will get lost. That is really funny being that I have lost 2 cell phones on Disney Trips.

So I love 2 way radios and don't really care who thinks them rude, and I love cell phones, but I am not rude with it at all. And obviously I love kids.

    Feel better Mouskateer?
