The mass evacuations create chaos, leave 100's of thousands people homeless, and in some instances cause death. We need better answers. Hurricane resistant buildings is one. Burying power lines is another. Those areas KNOW that sometime they WILL experience a hurricane. There has to be more that could be done to protect people than to tell them to get out of the area.
