Having been traveling the great American west for six weeks, we have been missing the Park. We arrived early enough to spend a half hour in the coolness the Golden Horseshoe prior to the final show of the day for the hillbillys. After enjoying theier usual antics, we wandered over to Coke Corner to listen to pianist Ragtime Robert finish a set. Our dinner was terrific corn dogs from the Little Red Wagon. Then we listened to the All-American College Band play a set of swing music at Carnation Plaza Gardens. Bumped into a couple of friends while there. Back to Coke Corner to listen to Robert play a full set and have a short chat with him brought ut to departure time. That convertible is a joy on a warm summer night. We avoided the freeways and wended our way homeward through old town Orange with it's central traffic circle complete with park and fountain. Just another day in paradise.
