My 5k is a week on Sunday morning, I am still hoping I will be under the 45 mins before then *fingers crossed*

LVBelle, I am very impressed at how well you're sticking to it, and Mrs Elderp that must be a great inspiration, go you :)

    No. Really.

I had completely forgotten that I got rid of them because when I got pregnant with the kids my feet grew, so they didn't fit anymore. So now I have to wait until payday (Friday) to go get some shoes!!! LOL!!

By the way, I did try the workout barefoot - but that was a bad idea!!

Went out last night and covered the full 5k that I will be doing in the race next weekend, it took me a little less than 45 mins, which is what I was aiming for being able to complete the run in next week, so all is looking good on that front.

The only issue I do have is that I seem to be carrying a minor muscle pull on my left hip, I have had it before when running, but it is a little more pronounced at the moment, so although I am going to exercise today, I am going to go to the gym and do low impact on the free runner and bikes instead of the treadmill or running outside..

I did notice last Wednesday when I worked out in the gym that I had to set the level up one on the free runner to be working at the heart rate I wanted to, so it's obviously working :)

    HOw is everybody else doing?

I was very happy :) I was aiming for less than 45 mins, which I thought would have been good, as I knew the course was very much undulating (read all hills almost no flat LOL!), so given that it was bad weather too (I looked like I'd taken a shower) I was over the moon at coming in less than 40 mins :)

So far all is going well. I just have to be careful not to over due it.

I've had a quietish week since Sunday, I skied for 3 hours on Tuesday, and Wednesday I was out with a friend at a spa, but there were other facilities too, so I swam some, and cycled some too. Yesterday was all housework, but I am back to work today, so I ran 2 miles at lunchtime, in about 22 mins, which was great. Planning on doing some tomorrow and Sunday too, but I might do low impact tomorrow and stick to the bikes and free runners..

    How is everyone else doing??
