Anyway. I went to the gym, and as predicted went with low impact as I am still carrying that mild muscle pull. Did 5 mins on the rowing machine, then 30 mins on the free runner, then finished off with some core work and a set of stretches.. Plan is to run on the treadmill tomorrow, I will see how I feel.

    Anyone else? Anyone? Bueller?

Anyway, went down to the gym today, did 33 mins on the treadmill, which included a 2 min walking warm up, and a cool down after, and covered 4.25km, I had intended to do a full 5k, but I was tired, and my heart rate was pushing the top end, so I figured it was still better than nothing..

I just keep trying to remind myself that this is fun !

I really wish my exercise was coming from walking around Disneyland. Have so much fun at the meet this week, I wish I could be there too.

Then in the afternoon we went to a summer festival/art show thing that involved a fair walk. We were all very tired and sleepy by the end of the day so we opted to go out for dinner =)

Some days when I am really not feeling like going for a run a try so hard to drag my behind out the door and start. Usually after running for the first bit my head gets back into the routine and its not as hard as I thought it would be. Do you have anyone you can drag to the gym (or wherever you work out) with you ? I find that I need to go with others or I would never be able to push myself to run so often.
Right now I am struggling a bit with my running routine as I am finding that being pregnant has really sapped the energy out of me. No one ever told me I would be so sleepy this early on. I expected the exhaustion phase to come much closer to baby time. I have really been trying to push myself to run any how as I do find that I feel slightly more energized afterwards, if only for a little while.
Keep up the good work everyone !

Back to the gym today at lunchtime though, and did 30 mins on the treadmill, had to walk some though, as I didn't realise the emergency stop cord was hanging loose, and managed to emergency stop myself! Luckily I didn't fall, but I did pull my calf a bit, so I walked the rest of the session to try and work the pull out, feels not too bad, but we will see how it is tomorrow.

Not sure if I will get a break over the weekend, so might not be able to run, we will see..

LVBelle, don't give up hope now!! If you need motivational chat then my email address is in my profile, or I am on MSN from home :)

I say essentially because they have to modify the lake course slightly to make it a true 5K. When I walk it *I* do an extra circit in the parking lot. In past years they have added a loop behind an elementary school, which is VERY steep.

This year though they are switching from a 5K/10K format to a 5K/half-marathon format. They are also adding chip timing this year. I am wondering with the other changes if they have figured our a way to get rid of the steep steep behind the school section (that I don't walk on a normal basis).

Anyway, I have to go now, it's time for my daily walk!!

    Happy walking :)

I managed to get a break today, so I went down and did half an hour on the free runner/eliptical trainer, and some light weights, my calves are still a little sore from yesterday's incident, that's 3 days in a row now, so I will take the day off tomorrow, don't want to pick up an injury!
