I only remember outdoor seating at the Veranda. Not condusive to buffet style, at least I hope not.

Does Disney really have any other kind?

I, too, am all for the reopening of this restaurant. It was my favorite in the Magic Kingdom for many years until it was unceramoniously closed due to budget cuts. A pirate theme also might be cool, just as long as the rest of Adventureland is not turned into "Pirateland".

I had read somewhere that Adventureland's attendance as a whole was a concern at some point (and one of the reasons that the Volcano ride was being considered for the land). Maybe the pirates will eventually take over, if the movies continue.

HAHAHA! That's histerical! (and pretty thoughful too)

I don't think the Pirates will take over all of Adventureland, but I don't see anything wrong with adding a pirate themed restaurant. Pirates are what's hot right now, and you got to go with what's hot. It's all about the Benjamins, always will be.

    That's right.

But it was some of the most beautiful real estate at the MK.

I recall many a terriyaki-sauced meal seated outside, while the Swan Boats gracefully passed below amidst flowers in bloom and squirrels begging for scraps.

Happy memories from a long ago place.

I would like to see a Pirate character meal. As a mom with a boy it would be nice to go to a character experience catering to his demographic. He's getting too old for the foam heads (or so he acts) and the princesses are just "icky" as far as he's concerned. He would get a big kick out of Capt Jack or Barbosa poking fun at his meal and posing for pics.

Actually, all 3 of my "boys" would love it - ages 8, 11, and 38 :)
